JOYFIT takes a holistic approach to wellness, looking at the entire person as a sum of all of their life experiences, strengths and desires, never taking a one size fits all approach. JOYFIT has a range of offerings, to support you in finding YOUR Joy.
FOUNDING STORY
JOYFIT started in Grande Prairie, Alberta as an outlet for creative expression and an opportunity to promote movement. What started as a side business became a full time reality in 2022 upon moving back home to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Positive psychology, and the evidence-informed ways to happiness is work that energizes me. I find it refreshing that we have tools that we can use to increase bliss in our own lives. Happiness is an inside job! Movement, mindfulness and connection are tools we can use to welcome more happiness into our lives. I have always felt this glow inside me when I move my body and I feel my ultimate purpose is to share this light with others.
I have empowered numerous personal training clients over the past ten years to find the joy in movement and reach their goals. I have promoted wellness using an evidence-informed approach in a variety of community settings for over five years. My experiences range from working with rural Indigenous communities, single moms, men, entire nuclear families, youth, sports teams, non-profits, and community groups. I am an engaging professional speaker/facilitator, compassionate yoga teacher, and motivating personal trainer.
My “jam” includes nature, movement, and deep conversations. I am fortunate to be surrounded by trees and the ocean and spend time outdoors each day to absorb the benefits of my surroundings into my body. I do not let a day go by without moving in some form as I truly believe movement is medicine. The only thing better than moving your body is moving your body with others!

Justine is a very authentic , balanced, compassionate and all around wonderful human being who has the gift of being able to both challenge and encourage her participants! She is very committed and knowledgeable to both Fitness, Yoga practice and meditation practice. I have attended several of Justine's Pop-up Boot Camp Classes in Carbonear and enjoyed them thoroughly. I have also had the privilege attending several of her yoga classes and of doing two of her Wellness Day retreats, the second of which was today. Both of these Day Retreats were nothing short of phenomenal! I'm looking forward to the next one in October! Thank you very much Justine for all that you are and all that you do and for your commitment, passion and knowledge! I rate her classes five big shiny stars!
